Report: Russian oil supply via Druzhba to Schwedt resumes
MOSCOW, Jul 8 (PRIME) -- A refinery of Royal Dutch Shell in the German city of Schwedt has resumed acceptance of Russian oil from the Druzhba pipeline after a one-day suspension due to technical issues, Bloomberg reported on Monday, citing sources.
“Druzhba flows to the facility resumed Saturday, according to two people familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified,” the newswire reported. On July 5, the supply stopped as a slight excess of chloride content was detected.
The problem with the quality of oil coming from Russia to Europe across Belarus via the pipeline appeared in April. The crude was contaminated with chlorides. In Belarus, the Druzhba pipeline splits into two strings, one of which stretches to Poland and Germany, and the other to Ukraine, Slovakia and Hungary.
